LGBTQ+ History & Archives of the Desert, is committed to preserving the legacies of LGBTQ+ activists and citizens living in the Greater Palm Springs area. Our mission is to ensure that this vital history is not only preserved but also made accessible to all.
To achieve our mission, we engage in various activities, including conducting interviews with LGBTQ+ activists and citizens who have stories to tell and legacies to share. Our work is critical, as LGBTQ+ history is often overlooked in traditional historical accounts. By preserving and sharing these stories, we honor the sacrifices and achievements of LGBTQ+ individuals and communities whilst providing a valuable resource for future generations to learn from and be inspired by.
We are seeking nominations for oral history interviews that will be conducted, then edited and become a part of our permanent collection.
Should you wish to nominate yourself or others, please use the form below and someone will reach out to you soon.
